There are dogs that trial interstate so the Australian Open dog of the year doesn't always match the QLD open dog of the year.
For example Steve Skewes with McNamaras Scotty has 18 points with QLD open dog of the year but has been down to NSW and gained 8 points so his combined Australian score is 26.
